Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
This policy explains the statutory withdrawal right, commercial cancellation rules, missed-class conditions and refund procedures applicable to AMBA SÔ LEARNING courses.
This policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.
1. Statutory Withdrawal Right
A consumer who purchases a course online generally has 14 calendar days from the date the contract is concluded to exercise the statutory right of withdrawal, subject to the conditions and exceptions established by applicable law.
You do not need to provide a reason when exercising a valid statutory withdrawal right.
2. Early Service Commencement
Platform access normally begins immediately after the required initial payment, including the Enrolment Fee where applicable. Live classes, learning activities and access to course content may therefore begin before the 14-day withdrawal period expires.
Where required, the customer will be asked to expressly request commencement of the service before the withdrawal period ends.
If a customer expressly requests early commencement and then exercises the withdrawal right, AMBA SÔ LEARNING may retain or request an amount proportionate to the service already supplied before receiving the withdrawal notice, where permitted by law.
Where a service has been fully performed during the withdrawal period, the withdrawal right may be lost only where all legally required prior requests, consents and acknowledgements have been obtained.
3. Enrolment Fee and Payment Plans
- The one-time Enrolment Fee is €50 for Group Online courses, €50 for Private Online courses and €100 for Private Home courses.
- The Enrolment Fee provides ongoing access to the AMBA SÔ LEARNING Platform, available learning resources and teaching documents provided for the learner’s programme, subject to the Terms and Conditions.
- During the statutory withdrawal period, the treatment of the Enrolment Fee follows Sections 1 and 2 of this policy and applicable mandatory consumer law.
- After the statutory withdrawal period has expired, the Enrolment Fee is non-refundable, except where a refund is required by mandatory law or results from AMBA SÔ LEARNING’s failure to provide the contracted service.
- Where offered for the selected course, the customer may choose a fixed Payment Plan of three, six or nine scheduled monthly instalments.
- The instalments form one fixed course-payment commitment and not an indefinitely renewing subscription.
- The selected Payment Plan ends after the third, sixth or ninth successful instalment and does not renew automatically.
- After the statutory withdrawal period expires, discontinuing attendance does not automatically cancel the remaining instalments.
- This provision remains subject to statutory consumer rights and any failure by AMBA SÔ LEARNING to provide the contracted service.
- No separate administrative cancellation fee is charged.
4. Failed Instalments
If an instalment is declined or remains unpaid, course and Platform access may be suspended. Access will normally be restored once the overdue payment has been successfully completed.
Suspension does not automatically cancel amounts already due or the remaining fixed payment commitment.
5. Group Online Classes
- Group classes follow a shared schedule.
- A class missed by an individual learner is not rescheduled.
- Non-attendance does not qualify for an individual refund or course credit.
- When available, the learner may review the relevant class recording through the Platform.
6. Private Online Classes
A learner must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or request the rescheduling of a Private Online class.
A cancellation made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend, will normally count as a delivered class and will not qualify for a refund or replacement.
7. Private Home Classes
A learner or responsible parent must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or request the rescheduling of a Private Home class.
A cancellation made with less than 48 hours’ notice, or failure to attend or provide access at the agreed location, will normally count as a delivered class and will not qualify for a refund or replacement.
Private Home services are available throughout France, subject to instructor availability. Applicable instructor travel costs are included in the displayed course price.
8. Late Attendance
- Learners are expected to attend classes punctually.
- Late arrival does not extend the scheduled finishing time.
- A missed or shortened class caused by learner lateness is not refundable.
9. Cancellation by AMBA SÔ LEARNING
If AMBA SÔ LEARNING cancels a scheduled class, the affected learner will be offered a replacement class or equivalent course credit.
If AMBA SÔ LEARNING is unable to provide a purchased course or an essential part of it, the learner will be offered an appropriate alternative or a refund for the undelivered service, as required by applicable law.
Minor changes to materials, lesson order or instructor assignment do not automatically qualify for a refund when the essential course service remains available.
10. Removal for Misconduct
A learner may receive one formal warning following misconduct. Repeated misconduct after a warning, or sufficiently serious misconduct, may result in removal from the course and Platform.
Removal for substantiated misconduct does not normally qualify for a commercial refund. This does not exclude statutory rights that cannot legally be limited.
11. Course Credit
Where appropriate, AMBA SÔ LEARNING may offer a replacement class, course transfer or course credit. A credit will not replace a monetary refund where a monetary refund is required by law.
Any voluntary course credit remains subject to course availability, scheduling and the conditions communicated when the credit is issued.
