Learner and Classroom Rules
Last updated: August 18, 2026
These rules support a respectful, safe and productive learning environment for everyone participating in AMBA SÔ LEARNING courses. They apply to Group Online, Private Online and Private Home learners.
These rules should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Refund and Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
These rules apply during live classes, activities, assessments, communications with instructors and staff, use of the learning Platform and access to course materials or class recordings.
Parents or legal guardians are responsible for helping learners aged 16 or 17 understand and follow these rules.
2. Attendance and Punctuality
- Regular attendance is required for effective progress.
- Learners should join or arrive before the scheduled starting time.
- Late arrival does not extend the scheduled finishing time.
- A missed Group Online class is not individually rescheduled.
- Private Online cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Private Home cancellations require at least 48 hours’ notice.
3. Respectful Behaviour
Learners must communicate respectfully with instructors, staff and other learners.
The following behaviour is prohibited:
- Harassment, bullying or intimidation.
- Discrimination or offensive language.
- Threats, abuse or aggressive behaviour.
- Deliberately interrupting or disrupting a class.
- Sharing inappropriate, unlawful or offensive content.
- Impersonating another learner or providing false information.
4. Classroom Participation
- Learners are expected to participate actively and follow reasonable instructor directions.
- Questions and contributions should remain relevant to the lesson.
- Learners should allow others reasonable opportunities to speak.
- Mobile phones and unrelated applications should not disrupt the class.
- Learners should attend from an environment suitable for focused learning whenever possible.
5. Online Class Conduct
- Learners should use their registered or recognisable name when joining a class.
- Microphones should be muted when not speaking if background noise affects the class.
- Meeting links must not be shared with unauthorised persons.
- Learners must not invite another person into a class without prior permission.
- Chat, screen-sharing and file-sharing tools must be used only for appropriate learning purposes.
6. Camera and Microphone
Learners are encouraged to activate their cameras during interactive online classes because visual participation can support communication practice and instructor feedback.
A learner may keep their camera off if they do not wish their image to appear in a recording. Camera use may be requested for a specific oral assessment, identity-verification activity or learning exercise where reasonably necessary and communicated in advance.
Speaking while a recording is active may capture the learner’s voice.
7. Homework and Assessments
- Homework and assessments must be submitted by the stated deadline.
- Unless another deadline is provided, assigned work should be submitted before the next scheduled class.
- Learners should notify the instructor promptly if a genuine difficulty may prevent timely submission.
- Late work may receive delayed or limited feedback.
- Required assessments must be completed before a certificate can be issued.
8. Academic Honesty
Submitted work must represent the learner’s own effort unless collaboration or external assistance has been authorised.
Learners must not:
- Copy another person’s work.
- Allow another person to complete an assessment on their behalf.
- Use unauthorised materials during a quiz or assessment.
- Present AI-generated or externally produced work as their own where such assistance is not permitted.
- Alter results or attempt to gain an unfair advantage.
9. Accounts and Materials
- Each learner account is personal and may not be shared.
- Passwords and access links must be kept confidential.
- Course materials may only be used for the registered learner’s personal education.
- Materials must not be copied, sold, published, redistributed or uploaded elsewhere.
- Suspected unauthorised account access must be reported promptly.
10. Class Recordings
- Group Online and Private Online classes may be recorded for educational review.
- Learners will be notified and the instructor will announce the recording before it begins.
- Recordings are restricted to relevant enrolled learners, instructors and authorised administrators.
- Learners must not download, copy, screen-record, redistribute, publish or share recordings.
- Recordings may not be posted on social media or used for commercial purposes.
- For learners aged 16 or 17, participation in recorded classes requires parent or guardian approval.
11. Private Home Learning
- A safe, appropriate and reasonably quiet learning space must be provided.
- The instructor must be treated respectfully while attending the agreed location.
- Animals or other conditions that may interrupt or endanger the lesson must be appropriately managed.
- For a learner under 18, a parent, guardian or responsible adult should be present at the location or immediately reachable during the lesson.
- The instructor may end or decline a visit where the environment presents a genuine safety risk.
12. Warnings and Misconduct
Where appropriate, AMBA SÔ LEARNING will issue one formal warning explaining the misconduct and expected correction.
Repeated misconduct after a warning may result in temporary suspension or removal from the course and Platform.
Serious misconduct—including threats, harassment, violence, fraud, deliberate security abuse or unlawful sharing of recordings—may result in immediate suspension or removal without a prior warning.
Removal for substantiated misconduct does not normally qualify for a commercial refund. Mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
